On your 'we plan' Level 3 you're fully covered for hospital accommodation costs, consultant fees, diagnostic tests for cardiac care as well as procedures for treating heart conditions - including cardiac surgery, heart bypass, heart transplant, angioplasty, catheterisation, stenting, valve surgery and pacemakers. This includes full cover in high-tech hospitals for listed cardiac procedures.

Following selected cardiac procedures, to help you recover, we will supply you with a home help assistant. We will contribute €100 a day to the cost of your home help for up to 3 days following a selected cardiac procedure. Your home help assistant will be supplied by an approved provider.

Cancer Support Benefit

This benefit is payable to members for accommodation costs incurred when travelling to receive in patient or day case chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Hibernian Aviva Health will contribute up to €100 per day up to a maximum of €1500 per calendar year. Dated eligible receipts on headed paper will be necessary to avail of this benefit. The member must be the person receiving chemotherapy or radiotherapy.

As well as great cover in Ireland you will also have cover for overseas treatment in two ways. If you're covered for a medically necessary surgical procedure in Ireland but for whatever reason want to have it carried out abroad...you can. We will be happy to cover you up to the amount that we would have paid for that procedure in Ireland.

We also offer you further peace-of-mind by providing cover for you overseas for new or emerging surgical procedures that are medically necessary for you but not available at this time in Ireland. The amount of cover is equal to the nearest equivalent procedure cost in Ireland.

Our innovative post natal home help service has been designed to give you as much time as possible to get back on your feet again. For 3 days following the birth of your baby, we will give you €100 per day towards the cost of a home help assistant who will take over the chores of cleaning and general housework. You and your baby can just settle back home and start getting to know each other! This is an alternative to Doula services. This benefit is subject to availability in your area. Where the service cannot be provided we will give you €120 to allow you to avail of this service from another provider.

Doula Services
Another innovative benefit from Hibernian Aviva Health. A Doula is a birth assistant who brings additional support before, during and after childbirth. A Doula can provide, and help you find, information so that you can make informed decisions that are right for you in your situation. The total cost of the Doula Ireland Birthing package is €1,200 and Doula Ireland will offer Hibernian Aviva Health members a €300 discount. This is an alternative to post-natal home help.

4D Scans
This highly advanced ultrasound technology allows you to experience the first images of your baby and get a glimpse of some of their very first movements in the womb!

With 'we plan' Level 3 you will receive:

• Full cover for hospital care for up to 180 days per year - this includes St John of God Hospital, Stillorgan, Co. Dublin
• Cover for eating disorders such as bulimia and anorexia
• Cover for gambling addiction
• Cover for alcohol and substance abuse (91 days in patient over 5 years)
• Consultant psychiatrist care

These innovative benefits are available to everyone with a 'we plan', no matter what level you're on. If your child is a Hibernian Aviva Health member and in hospital for more than 3 days at any one time, an allowance of up to €40 per day for up to 14 days can be claimed from Hibernian Aviva Health.

This is to help you with accommodation or travel costs for the following 14 days while your child is in hospital.

Another amazing benefit for kids. Should your child need to convalesce at home after a stay in hospital exceeding 5 days you are entitled to a child home nursing allowance of up to €100 per day for up to 14 consecutive days.

We now cover a range of convalescent homes around the country, all registered with the Health Service Executive. Such a wide choice means you can choose the one most convenient to you.

For your convalescence after a stay in hospital, we will give you €50 per day for up to 16 consecutive days.

We will supply a post operative home help (POHH) assistant following a major surgery for all members on Levels 3, 4 & 5. Hibernian Aviva Health will cover the cost of a domestic help from an approved provider for up to three days following selected long stay cardiac or special procedures which are on our list of POHH procedures. This benefit is subject to availability in your area. Where the service cannot be provided, we will give you a total of €120 to enable you to avail of this benefit from an alternative provider.

To avail of this benefit, the member must be insured with Hibernian Aviva Health at the time of receiving the treatment and covered for treatment for the selected cardiac or special procedure. The member must also be covered by Hibernian Aviva Health at the time of receiving the service. Please obtain a letter from the treating consultant confirming the date(s) of treatment and the procedure code for the treatment provided and then contact us on 1850 717 717 within three weeks of release as an in patient, to arrange this service for you. We will pay the provider directly.

Please note: Your home must be accessible on a public transport route. Someone must be present in your home at all times when your home help assistant is in attendance.
